Sports Medicine

What is Sports Medicine?

Sports medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention and treatment of injuries related to sports and exercise. It covers a wide range of conditions, including sprains, strains, fractures, andussions. Surgery is usually recommended for severe injuries that cannot be treated with non-surgical methods, such as torn ligaments or broken bones. The most common cases of sports injuries that require surgery are ACL tears, rotator cuff tears, and meniscus tears.
